I've heard about couchsurfing for a while but never took the time to try it. I am travelling to Iran in May and thought that it could be a fantastic opportunity to meet people from the country and have a real insight of the country rather than following the main road and staying in Hostel with other tourist.

I have participated last year to the Oxfam trailwalker in the UK with 5 friends and we had to walk 100 km in a raw. It was one of the hardest thing I ever did but as it was for charity it helped!
