About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the sights, smells, and sounds of far corners of the world. Taste new foods.

ABOUT ME

I'm traveling this summer, the exact plan is vague, but the goal is clear- to learn as much as possible about as many places as I can- to explore the woodshops and boatshops of Europe, see old farmhouses in the countryside, and to see the great buildings in the cities. Literature has sparked my curiosity, and finally I now have time to go, cast away responsibilities, and set sail across Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a firm believer in the necessity of finding meaning in life, even if that meaning does not translate into great fortunes. Following the heart is critical. I pity those who put on a suit and tie every day and join the rat race, dreaming of retirement age when they will finally begin to enjoy life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The green flash when the sun sets in the middle of the ocean, from a boat that is far from any shore. In my case only just out of sight of land off the coast of Maine, USA. Perhaps only an illusion, a figment of the imagination, but life on a boat, however short lived, can be intoxicating.

Teach, Learn, Share

Juggling.
From balls to clubs to knives to fire, from doing it alone to passing- its just fun.
