I am a 29 year old construction manager that just accepted a job in Palo Alto. I graduated in Boston in 2011 with a degree in Civil Engineering and have worked in the area ever since.

I am a mentor for Engineers Without Borders - Boston University chapter and have traveled to Zambia for a month in 2013 to clean up drinking water in the smaller villages of Naluja (about 9 hours west of Lusaka).

I have also backpacked the west coast of Costa Rica for 2 weeks in 2014 and backpacked the west coast of Mexico on a surf trip for 2 weeks in 2014 as well.

Recently me and my girlfriend have embarked on a 40 day road trip across America. We are camping and couchsurfing in all locations (Outer Banks, Nashville, St Louis, Kansas City, Denver, Glenwood Springs, Arches Nat Park, Canyonlands Nat Park, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Yosemite Area, and then finally San Jose.

We will most likely need to couch surf in the San Jose area until we find an apartment (we expect it to take 1 - 2 weeks to move into a place). We are very respectful and appreciate any help that people offer. We are also good cooks, good entertainment and overall positive thinkers who like to have a good time. We hope to meet as many great people as we can on our journey!
