About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To fuel passion, find healing, laugh, discover my innards, and be challanged in the process.

ABOUT ME

Life is a wondrous thing. I love the act of breathing. I love to dance, and to laugh, and to converse and debate and to travel and just sit and watch. I am in action most of the time. I believe in love. I believe trust and respect. I adore my friendships. I want to paint and write and dance and create my world every moment I am in it.

I hate this part, so I took an unofficial poll. I trust my friends to describe me better than I will, because I seem to contradict myself. Anyway, a few words my friends have described me as: Beyond, Impassioned, Enigmatic, Vulpine, Kind, Vibrant, Phosphorescent, Galvanized, Cosmic, Enchanting, Spontaneous, Sick, Astounding, Layered, Dynamic, Fucking Amazing, One Challenging sonofabitch, and Comet-Like...still compiling the list..and these are not my words, but I like them.

But I supopse if I had to write something it'd be this: I love to challenge authority. I am a workaholic (but I only do work I love so it's not all that bad), I love to create things from scratch--make an idea into something tangible and beautiful and see the progress all the way. I love to travel and meet new people. I've been self-employed since I was 21; self sufficient since I was 16. And in my rather short, rather dynamic life I have learned a few things. 1. A trip wire doesn't necessarily have to detonate a land mine. 2. The world is much smaller place that I'd ever imagined. 3. If you're not giving back, then you are just wasting space. 4. As humans were are equally attracted to the beautiful and the horrific. 5. It doesn't matter how much you try to safe-guard your heart--Love will find a way in.

PHILOSOPHY

We contain more than we've ever thought; we are far greater than our ideas can comprehend. When a difficulty pushes us to the edge of what we've known about ourselves, we can fall off or expand our borders. If we choose the latter, we discover we are bigger than the problem confronting us. And we learn that every challenge contains the gift of greater knowing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a newcomer, but the idea is thrilling. As soon as I have my own space (I live with others) I will be offering a bed/couch as well. I am, however, a good samaritan and bring positive every to everything I attempt.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Ireland while visiting the Isle of Inishmean I had a lovely time crashing at a woman's house on the island. It was before the only hotel was open for tourists and would have otherwise been stuck. It was amazing. I have also "couch surfed" in New York City, Barcelona, and Vancouver, B.C. Canada

Interests

Writing, writing, writing, reading, cooking...movies, TRAVEL...dancing, theatre, wine, friends, laughter. I am in interested in exploring the notion of alternative relationships and families. I also like studying people and things that border on the insane and absurd. I like my mom.

Music: I recently dug my computer out of storage in the basement and actually hooked it up the part of the house where people live. I was amazed to re-discover over 100 Gigs of music stored on the sucker. I have done nothing, I repeat, nothing, for days but listen to the C drive on shuffle. It is a pure state of bliss.
