Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I find CS a great opportunity to connect oneself to others in a proper way. If you want to learn about yourself, you have to look at others. If you want to see your face, you look into a mirror. Or not? So other people are for me the mirror of your soul.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The funnies thing I ever heard somebody pronouncing my name was: "Bernhard, that sounds like banana".

Interests

Swimming, biking, dancing, music, films, having fun ...

Well, I like swimming and since it is a indoor is also a sport one can do it all year long. So, this is basically my work-out.

Biking is a fine way to explore the beauty of a country. The things don't just fly fast by that you hardly can see them. And since you can put up your tent nearly anywhere in Sweden for free, it is a good, fast, and cheap way to escape from the city.

I like to go dancing, although I haven't done it for some time and I am quite bad at it.

Music, Movies, and Books

In general, I prefer electronic music. But, I am up to any particular music.

I like independent movie productions ... and I like more drama films, or I would say, I like films that have something proper to say. The most entertaining films I dislike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually, I am often amazed. But, the most of all is when people stand-up for somebody else, hold together, or help in a situation. Then I feel not alone, more in a save community.

One example happened in Bolivia as the bus lost a wheel while driving at 2am. Many people streamed out of the bus and searched for the wheel. Nearly everybody had to help to lift the bus to mount the wheel again.

Teach, Learn, Share

If one looks out in the world one can see amazing things. Then one thinks of coping it or be a copy. In the end everybody is different an unique. So, everybody has to find his one way that fits in live. - Don't try to be an apple if you are a banana. You will always be a second-rate apple…
