About Me

CURRENT MISSION

finding alternative ways to live a self-sufficient and happy life

ABOUT ME

head in the clouds while chasing colourful & sparkly things, humorous, peaceful, sometimes quiet and thoughtful - more often talkative, fun & adventure loving.

PHILOSOPHY

making the most of the time we have on this wonderful planet while trying to be positive, open-minded and curious about everything the universe throws my way

contradict yourself! I have come to realise that trying to live up to imaginary expecations and determinations I set for myself does nothing but restrict me in my development and freedom (an idea I might have borrowed from R.W. Emerson).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love people - I love traveling ... voila!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've both surfed and hosted in the past - I talked, laughed, ate, danced, sang, drew, ice-skated, walked, drank, with so many positive, warm and loving people from all over the world through CS. there wasn't a single negative experience among it, while some people were quiet and respectful house guests, others were eager explorers, heavy partiers, some have become good friends and others I call family. I cannot imagine how travelling/my life would be without it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every kind of music that is able to evoke any kind of emotion in me. for me, classical music, folk, electro or the occasional metal tune usually do the trick

I don't watch too many movies. as with most people I know, watching "Into the Wild" makes me want to put on my walking shoes, I love Studio Ghibli films, I really enjoy old Disney movies, I watch some Sci-Fi series, ... it's really random, you see

books: I like both well-written fiction and philosophy books, East of Eden is an all-time favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

+ built my own tiny house on wheels

+ playing some really cool concerts with my old band

+ driving 7000 kilometres through Europe, living in a car the size of a tuna can.

+ travelling through 15 different states on an 8-week U.S. trip

+ End of the Road Festival 2012 in Dorset - so much love in the air, it was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
+ I can teach you how to cook a mean omelette or some traditional Austrian meals

Learn:
+ I love getting in touch with new languages, teach me, teach me, teach me
+ I'm interested in any foreign culture, show me what locals eat, drink, do, talk about and tell me about their values and traditions.

Share:
