Dare. Dream. Discover.
ABOUT ME
It may be deceiving, but I am NOT your miserable old high school science teacher that ate lunch by himself and lived alone with his three cats, as my picture may suggest.
Far from it, but it got your attention.
After graduating from Wake Forest University (B.A. Business) in December 2007 I headed to New Zealand on a one way ticket and ended up staying abroad for over two and half years. Too many beautiful places to see and people to meet!
I am an outgoing people person with an enormous appetite for learning and growing. I always have an ear to listen, a voice to be heard and respect to govern it all.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you love, love what you do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being the people person I am, CS sounded like a perfect thing for me to do as I embarked on a extremely nomadic leg in my life when I went abroad back in 2008.
I have recently taken the position of National Sales Manager for a rad new sustainable head wear and accessories company out of Long Beach, called Yellow 108.
We are growing fast and the work has required a lot of travel so in an effort to enjoy myself as I explore my work destinations I have gotten back on the CS wave to get that local vibe wherever my work takes me. It's my domestic version of my abroad adventure!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Around the world, now attempting a domestic ride!

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything by Depp, Tarantino, Nolan and Ritchie.
"One good thing about music is when it hits you feel no pain. So, hit me with music, hit me with music now."
Currently reading Clash Of Kings from A Song Of Ice & Fire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching a sunrise from the peak of Lombok's volcano, Mt. Rinjani, in Indonesia.
Hiking one of the last "growing" glaciers in the world in a rainforest in New Zealand.
Living 110km off land on the Great Barrier Reef for over a month and a half.
La Festa Gracia in Barcelona, Spain.
Sunset over Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am qualified to teach windsurfing, rock climbing and scuba diving. I want to learn kite surfing and need a bit more work with my surfing.
More importantly, I love to share my experiences and my philosophies that have been shaped by my travels, but in return I want to hear yours...its the process, a constant evolution of ideas to always attempt perfection in oneself.
