Hey there! I’m Husrev, born in Turkey but raised in Romania and Azerbaijan. Recently, I’ve had the privilege of graduating from Lund University in Sweden where I studied Development Studies. This summer, I’m setting off on an interrail trip for a month, to explore more about new places (2023). For me, travel is not just about sightseeing, it’s also a journey of self-discovery. In my downtime, I love experimenting with different recipes from around the world and I also enjoy reading books about philosophy, psychology, self-development, novels and development studies. Although I'm mostly an introvert, I can be an extrovert when I need to be. People call this being an 'ambivert.' I like both quiet time and talking with others, and I accept both parts of myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've joined Couchsurfing because I'm passionate about cultural exchange and the idea of a global community. As someone who has grown up in different countries and traveled to many more, I've realized that the most enriching part of these experiences isn't just the places I've been, but the people I've met. I'm looking forward to connecting with diverse individuals from around the world, sharing stories and experiences, learning from others, and hopefully, making the world a little smaller and more connected.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2023 summer I made one of the best decisions of my life and embarked on a unique, nearly month-long solo travel experience. This journey not only introduced me to new places but also taught me a lot about myself. In 26 days, I traveled through 4 countries visited 12 cities and I walked 490km during my journey, average of almost 19km a day 🚶‍♂️. The people I met and the conversations we shared definitely took this trip to a whole different level. I hope to continue having such experiences in my life.
