Hi Surfers! I am a british guy who moved to Belfast for work around 2.5 years ago and has loved living here since!
I really love that the city is just the right size for it to have everything you need but also be small enough that you don't have to spend hours commuting and can see stunning views from right outside your house!

I am a fairly open person and am always up for talking about anything, whether it is sharing deeply personal stories or just talking about how bad GoT finale was! any topic is always fun with nice people!

DISCLAIMER: Unlike a lot of hosts here, I actually don't have a wealth of knowledge about the city nor give a lot of recommendations for things to do. However, I can try to help you plan your trips to the best of knowledge and hopefully, I might even get to learn more about this great city and Northern Ireland together with some of my guests!

Another thing to point out is that I do work 9-5 and on most evenings I am busy doing extra computer
work or going to the gym, so I will be unlikely to give tours around the city. I might be able to join you going out once or twice however and I would love to chat and get to know each other when we are both in the home. Just wanted to outline it here so people can set their host expectations accordingly :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just want to meet some awesome people from around the world!

I remember first installing CouchSurfing years ago in an attempt to find last-minute hosts after arriving in a city with no accommodation plans and little money (don't do that please haha) and even though I never actually stayed with any hosts, I always thought it would be cool to do it properly some time.

My hope is to make new friends from all parts of the world, learn more about other cultures and maybe one day meet some friends in their home cities!

My home isn't too big but it has a spare room with a bed that you can crash on! I also have some fun things in my house: a few board games, some video games and even a karaoke machine!

BOOKS:
I am really interested in personal development and enjoy listening to a lot of audiobooks around being disciplined and focusing on achieving your goals.
The best book I read from recent memory was David Goggins' "Can't hurt me", it is quite a sad personal story but it really challenges you to push yourself and reminds you that you can really achieve anything if you work hard enough!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of an effort to lose weight and live healthier, I have been running very frequently this year and on my running app, I have recorded around 50 5Ks in 2019 alone!

I have just graduated university with a degree in computer science.
I have also taught myself Korean, some chinese and have experience with several other languages so i can offer advice when it comes to language learning techniques and strategies.
