I am Huub van der Mark and I'm a YouTuber. Originally graduated Economics but I didn't really like my life at that moment so I decided to take a chance and move to South Africa. Originally I was planning to only leave my home country for 1 year, but that's now 6 years ago.

In South Africa I worked at the South African Dutch Chamber of Commerce and accidentally came in touch with acting. I loved it so much that I did a full year of acting study in Cape Town.

Then I moved to the US. In NYC I did another 2 school years of acting.

Instead of pursuing in acting career, I decided to pursue both of my life's dreams. Acting and traveling. And I became a travel YouTuber. That's now 3 years ago that I started.

The first year I lived on Sailing boats and sailed from the USA to Mexico, to Costa Rica, Panama and then crossed the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand. And of course visited all those islands in between.

In New Zealand I bought a bicycle and cycled from the Northernmost point to the Southernmost point..

Then I flew to Vietnam, bought a motorbike and drove from Vietnam to Laos and Cambodia.

Then after backpacking Thailand for a few weeks, I flew to Kyrgyzstan and bought an oldtimer Russian van and converted it to a Camper Van. With this van I traveled from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Pakistan. And from Pakistan I shipped it to Argentina.

Later I bought a little sailboat and sailed the Caribbean which I am doing at the moment.

There are so many movies I like. I absolutely love watching movies, it's my favorite hobby. I don't really have a specific genre. I don't like cheesy romantic comedies. But anything else that's well made from a filmmakers perspective I like. This can be action-comedies, horror movies, comedies etc. The biggest challenge always is to find a new good movie to watch as I've seen so many already. But somehow always there is a new one to be found. I don't read many books, although I do write my own scripts for certain videos which are scripted. For music, I like many kinds of music but often am too lazy to download new music. I'm still listening to the 400 song-playlist that a friend of mine gave me a year ago. But I'm open to new music
