I like to have fun and love to meet new people. Also I have a major travel bug and go overseas whenever I can! I a doctor in Nelson New Zealand and if I'm home I will try hard to host whenever I can!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to surf and to host deending on if I am at home or away! Also happy to give advice to fellow travellers if you need some but dont want to come stay. I know how helpful some inside knowledge can be about an area.

Music - Guitar, piano, drums, saxophone, clarinet, harmonica

Sports - Running, biking, kayaking, swimming, triathlon, adventure racing, skiing, snowboarding, tennis, squash, rugby, free diving-spear fishing and others

I love cooking and eating food. If anyone is a foodie and can cook some nice meals you are more than welcome to stay for a bit. Also if you bring a good bottle of red wine when you come to visit that would not be a bad thing.

I want to learn how to kite surf next summer. Also trying to get into more spear fishing and want to get myself a king fish. I also want to learn to fly. Don't care how I just like the idea of being up in the air and overlooking the world. Maybe paragliding would be good...

I love stand up comedy and anything that makes me laugh. If you are funny then come on over.

Books - most recent good books have been Steig Larsson's millennium series, Dancing Wu Li Masters (a really good quantum physics book), Marching Powder (a drug smuggler in San Pedro jail, La Paz, Bolivia). Also anything by Terry Pratchett.

Music - mostly anything except for some pop music if it's too cheesy. Unless it's catchy then it's ok. Love classic rock (Rolling Stones, The who, CCR, eagles, led zep, the doors) and Brit indie rock (Alt J, The arctic monkeys, the strokes, Franz Ferdinand) and good electro, good hip hop, I'm down for most types of music.

A good yarn, a bit of fun and maybe you'll leave with a bigger broader mindset on life and some new experiences. Or maybe not. Maybe you won't like me and I will leave you thinking that you won't want to use couch surfing again. But I try my best to avoid that.
