Mission: finguring out who I am and what and who I love

My name is Huyen (it means 'mysterious black' in Vietnamese believe it or not). I am 23 years old and from Vietnam (in South-East Asia, to the south of China and has a long coastal lines with many beautiful beaches). I am currently a graduate student in Warsaw Poland

I am an energetic one, enjoy helping whenever I can. I am also a "part-time" vegetarian in 3 months a year.

I am passionate the most about comic, cartoon, animated movies, mostly Japanese ones (Ghibli Studio) and French comic (Lucky Luke, Asterix, Tintin, etc.)

I am learning French, the main reason is to read and watch Lucky Luke and Les aventures de Tintin in French.

I could share with you my Asian cooking, travel tips in South-East Asia and my passion in cycling.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Traveling more makes my world smaller, less scary and meeting more and more people make it more lively, less lonely. I believe that there are always many people out there can bring out my talkative self out of my quiet shell.

Meeting people and immerse myself into local culture are my priority. It is really boring (believe me, I had tried) to just come to certain recommended tourist attractions to take pictures.

兴趣

I read a lot when I travel, especially when I am on a train. I think railway is the best way to go around the world as I am inspired by the book "The Great Railway Bazaar" by Paul Theroux.

I am in the middle of reading Proust (in Vietnamese) and dream of some day I can read that in French.

I love drinkings, in general, especially tasting coffee and wine and my newly discovered favorite is Pastis

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I am a bicyclist and travelling is my passion. In the summer of 2014, I had traveled on my bike 2,100km along Vietnam coastal line in one month. I stayed in pagodas and helps monks with farming and gardening.
This is the first experience of mine about traveling and helping others simultaneously

I can share my knowledge in psychology in economics, finance financial crisis and all related topics as they are my major at university. I am also interested in politics and Brexit.

I also love to share my favorite literature and get some book recommendations from others
