About Me

Living and working in Zakynthos - unfortunately here I cannot host but will gladly help and hang out.

"It may happen that you were born without wings, but what truly matters is never stopping them from growing..."

Hey! I'm Hubert, an open-minded traveler who loves meeting people and exploring their cultures and unique perspectives on life.

I can’t imagine my life without travel! Every new place fills me with energy, makes me hungrier for adventure, and reminds me how much there is to explore. I’ve had the chance to work as a tour guide in Greece and Vietnam, teach geography, and take part in Erasmus+ projects—all experiences that have deepened my connection with the world.

Some of my most unforgettable journeys include overlanding from Poland to Guinea-Bissau, crossing the Atlantic on a sailing ship from Jamaica to Poland, and sailing across the equator from Brazil to the Caribbean. Hitchhiking has also been a huge part of my travels, allowing me to meet incredible people and experience pure freedom on the road.

Right now, I’m exploring Southeast Asia, traveling overland through Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, China, and Hong Kong before making my way to Malaysia and Indonesia. I rarely plan my trips in detail—I prefer the spontaneity of the unknown!

I’m passionate about nature, forests, and camping, and I love deep conversations about human rights, world affairs, and, of course, travel adventures. Couchsurfing, to me, isn’t just about finding a place to stay—it’s about meaningful connections, inspiring each other, and embracing the kindness that exists in humanity.

Let’s share stories, experiences, and unforgettable moments—see you somwwhere on the road!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Isn’t travel about more than just places? Isn’t it about the people we meet, the stories we share, and the cultures we immerse ourselves in? For me, Couchsurfing has always been about connecting with people, experiencing their daily lives, and embracing the beauty of cultural exchange.

I find diversity to be one of the most fascinating aspects of life—it’s what makes every conversation, every encounter, and every journey unique. Whether it’s deep philosophical discussions about life or spontaneous chats about whatever comes to mind, I love engaging with different perspectives.

I’m here because I want to meet open-minded, adventurous people. I travel a lot, and along the way, I hope to make great friends, share unforgettable moments, and exchange crazy travel stories. After all, isn’t that what makes the journey truly special?
