I am very friendly and helpful. I like people. I am a terrific cook. I am very active in local politics.

Interests

I enjoy non-profit work. I focus my energy on my agency--Amherst Community Connections. I work to advoocate for those without a voice: the people who are poor, homeless or being mistreated. I help people who need a second chance in life to get housing, employment and feeling part of the community.

I work to help build enhanced single room occupancy units for individuals who are extremely poor and have no place to call home. Building housing and shelter is what grabs my attention now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very proud that I worked with others to start a homeless shelter here in our town. I volutneer there for the past three winters. This year, I coordinate the meal program, and volunteer recruitment program at the Shelter.
