About Me

Hi! I am Hyemin, living at Ames in Iowa in the United States. I am not currently hosting because Ames is not a touristic city.

Before coming to the US, I lived in Seoul, South Korea. I hosted some tourists once. At each section, I leave what I wrote in 2016 after "===" so that you can feel some passion from my younger days.

============================================

NO MATTER HOW THEY ROLL THE DICE, WE WILL BE HAPPY TOGETHER.

Welcome to Korea!
I'm HYEMIN, 26 years old and a nice guy. haha.
I traveled around the world for about 300 days.
And I just arrived at home, so I'm ready to host you!

OK.
If you are busy then you don't need to read the following.
Just send the messages, come to my place and talk in my place!

Or facebook me, https://www.facebook.com/luckyhm1928
and then I can tell you my phone number by Facebook, just ask me.

ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

I like all kinds of music, for example, jazz, blues, pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock, K-pop some traditional music of your countries. And I like also lots of sports, soccer, tennis, riding a bicycle, snowboarding, etc.

I love to meet new people (Yes, it's you!) and speak about everything!
I'd like to share new experience and different thoughts!

You don't need anything. It doesn't matter where you are from, how old you are, who you are. It's enough that now you are travelling! Just come and enjoy!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Several years ago, I had 300 days travel around Europe and America and met some people hosting me through couchsurfing. Those experience was really valuable and memorable. Inspired that, I tried to host when I was in Seoul. However, the situation changed and hosting is quite hard now. Though, I tried to meet new people through couchsurfing as a traveler. Again, the below are what I wrote in 2016 (right after the 300 days travel).

===============================================

It's because I like meeting new people!!

For my about one-year-travel, I had 11 times experiences for a guest. Yeah, (maybe) I was a goooood guest for them, and now I came back to SEOUL, so it's my turn to host you guys!

Interests

First of all, of cousre, travelling is the most interesting in terms that we encounter new situations, new people, new food, and so on. I had 300 days travel alone, and 2 months honeymoon with my wife. After coming to the US, we been going around some cities in the US usually by car. Anything different, novel, and challenging is always welcome.

I (maybe we) like (and like to try) some extreme sports although I cannot do those very well. Snowboarding and scuba diving are more familar things among those. Other (normal?) sports like soccer or tennis are also my favorite sports.

While living at Ames for three years, our level of cooking have been developed a lot. We can make any korean food if all things are well prepared (I cannot do this alone). We can share our foods for sure.

Again, the below are what I wrote in 2016.

===============================

TRAVEL ; I was travelling for about one year from EUROPE to AMERICA. Now I'm in Korea, so I'm gonna take a trip around my country.

SPORTS ; First, I like playing soccer. Until I was 23 years old, I used to play soccer with my friends. And I also like tennis. At one time, for two years, everyday I played tennis. Last year, I learned to play snowboarding and scuba diving. I really like them!

COOKING ; I have lived alone for about ten years. So sometimes I used to try to make some food. Of course, it's Korean food. While travelling, I always made my food if I had a chance. (If I afford to make foods, then I can make it to you!)

ETC : I like watching some works of art in the museum. And I'd like to try some activities, like paragliding, skydiving, sandboarding, rafting, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I normally like general pop music and movies. It seems that I know quite a lot of music and movies. In particular, jazz and R&B music are good to me. / I have tried to read a book, but it is quite hard.

====================

MUSIC ; (Like everybody,) I really like music, all kinds of music, and singing songs. So I learned singing sons for a few months. At one time I practiced playing a guitar. For my travelling, every time I wanna listening to their own music, I mean, I like all kinds of music!

MOVIES : I like watching movies, especially thoughtfully engaging movies. I mean, I like the movies that make me thoughtful. But I like most of movies except for extremely sad movies.
