My name is Rin (since there’s no “R” sound in Korean, people sometimes call me Lin, haha).
I was born and raised in South Korea. After setting off on a spontaneous one-month backpacking trip around Southeast Asia, I learned the difference between simply sightseeing and truly traveling, and since then I’ve been trying to travel more whenever I can.

I travel to hear more people’s stories, experience more cultures, and see more beautiful nature.
Last year, I lived in Malta for about a year to study English. After returning to Korea, I worked at a travel agency introducing Korea to foreigners.

I actually enjoy active things like raves and hiking. I have a bit of a rebellious streak, so I like doing things others don’t usually do. Most of all, I love making memories through silly, carefree moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Beginning of 2024, I traveled SouthEastAsia alone and realized true fun of travel!
The beauty of traveling is not tourism, but meeting people and interacting with each other! Also We can travel without money, no hotel, no taxi, no tour guide!
But most of my friends don't know this... So I want to prove it to my friends!
