You can get anywhere if you want to but you might never leave :-) So take that change!
Hi I am Thomas from Amsterdam. Have been working a lot last (20?!) years so it was about time to take a break. I travelling on my own, too bad my husband ( boy friend I rather call him) could not come along. But our marriage can stand a little time-out.
I see myself as a positive minded and curious person, open minded to others of all ages and cultures. I like the exitement of not knowing where or when...or with whom...I end up with. I once read an inspiring view on life which I try to fullfill: "all humans are imperfect because we all are shaped like God the Creator: like him we all have something to create as our purpose in life". So every day I try to create something beautiful, no mather how small it might be.
To create something beautiful every day. So open our minds to new ideas!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm travelling around the world from jan - june 2013: from Russia to China by train. Than the month of februari in SE Asia, Vietnam and Thailand. On to Australia/Sydney for a few weeks. And last but not least Argentina and Peru in april/may.
We've had various surfers visiting us; what a great surprise it always is! Now it's my turn to visit world citizens in other countries. Hope I can find places to stay with nice & open minded people!
Digital media because that's my job (creative director) and besides that cooking, waterpolo, sailing, politics, philosophy, questions about life...
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Prince! and good old funk, soulfull house, easy jazzy ladies, european movies, local newspapers...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wildlife in Africa (as a travel guide) and climbing high mountains in Nepal. On the top (5133 mtr) I had tears in my eyes because I could hold the hands of my father in heaven and my mother at home.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teacher I was for several years (as my whole family is), and its a great job, but it's even greater to find out things by yourself. So dive in, do something you never did before and you'll learn te most... and than ofcourse we can share the fun and trouble we had :-)
Countries I’ve Visited
Croatia, Egypt, France, Kenya, Mongolia, Nepal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom
