CURRENT MISSION

I want to learn as much as I can about puppets, comics (I keep a collection of as many foreign comics as I can get my hands on), and how to be a better person! I'm trying to deconstruct what I know of myself as a person, re-figure things out.

ABOUT ME

I love to eat and read comics! There's nothing better than sitting down to David B's Epileptic with a batch of chocolate chip cookies! As for the more serious issues of self, I'm still working all that out.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's important to find something to care about more than prosperity, or work or any sort of material thing. I try to consider everything I do and ask myself if in the end it will really matter? I think when it comes down to it your relationships with others are more important than anything else. What good is it to be a great cartoonist with no one to talk about comics with?

Books- White Noise by Don Delillo, Rant by Chuck Palahniuk, Love and Rockets by the Hernandez bros, Optic Nerve by Adrien Tomine, Epileptic by David B, 1984 by George Orwell, A child's Life and other stories by Pheobe Gloeckner.

Music- Coheed and Cambria, the Dresden Dolls, the Magnetic Fields, Belle and Sebastian, Kimya Dawson, the Moldy Peaches.

Movies-The Royal Tenenbaums, I heart Huckabees, the Matrix, Little Miss Sunshine, There Will be Blood, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Mystic Masseur.

Teach, Learn, Share

When building a puppet draw a schematic to make sure the size doesn't get out of hand, this will make it easier to control :). I always mess this part up!
