About Me

I'm Ian! Very soon I'll be moving to the Salt Lake City, UT area from Michigan. I was recently hired at backcountry.com so I'm packing my things and making the move across the country. I have a Belgian Malinois, Murphy, who will be joining me after a couple of weeks once I get through training. I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking and backpacking so UT seemed like a perfect fit. I'm hoping to meet like minded people, some friends, and see what my new home state has to offer. I sometimes crack jokes too often, and have a poor sense of direction, but everything else is pretty good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Utah! I don't know anybody who lives there/here, and I want to meet some friends. Getting a shower might be nice too.

Music, Movies, and Books

If it's not over played on the radio, I probably tolerate it. If it's not on the radio at all, I probably like it. I like books and movies that make me laugh. Just finished Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl. Just starting Alone on the Wall. I don't watch T.V. and I rarely see a movie, but I'm open for suggestion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't gone too far from home a whole lot. But I drive to CO last summer by myself just because I wanted to see some mountains. I suppose that might be why I'm coming back west. Amazing might be an over statement, but since it was my first time really leaving home, I'm pretty proud of myself for taking the leap.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I promise to make you laugh, I'm I won't leave hair in your shower drain, and I will be out of your hair in no time at all!
