About Me

Mountain biker, mechanical engineer, adventurer, traveler. Looking to see the world one trip at a time. I love seeing and doing something new all the time. Exploring new cultures is a recent passion I'm trying to actualize.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In March, over spring break, my girlfriend Chloe and I will be in Italy and are looking to meet new people, explore local eateries, absorb the culture and find places to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Book: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Favorite Movie: Mr. Nobody
Music: I love music and don't think I could pick a favorite of anything. It's more a flavor of the month sort of deal. At the time of writing this I'd say my favorite band is Greta Van Fleet and favorite song is "Moment's Silence (Common Tongue)" by Hozier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time trad climbing was at Granite Mountain in Prescott, AZ. It was a three pitch climb and I had absolutely no experience aside from some sport climbing with my dad. As the last to go up it was my job to pull all the cams (anchors stuck into the rock) as I went. To make a long story short: I had to make up for my lack of technique with strength and jamming myself into some weird positions. After the second pitch I was tired and bloody but still had the hardest part ahead. A traverse over a 300ft drop. The traverse was a reasonable V7 (moderate for those not familiar with the scale) but the area below, if I were to fall, was a V12. I had no confidence that I could climb back up if I were to fall. Thankfully, I made it without any issues. That was one of the most thrilling, terrifying and exhilarating things I've ever done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very handy (mechanical engineer and carpenter) and can help with small repairs (i.e. broken light switch, outlet, leaky faucet, hole in the wall ,etc.).
