About Me

I'm a current senior music business student looking forward to making it out of academia and exploring the rest of the world. I love making and being around music and helping it happen, as well as interacting with all sorts of people in new settings, so I'm hoping to eventually be a tour manager.

I'm also a Chinese major, and love learning the language, interacting with the culture, and consuming the tea and food.

Internationally, I've been to China for 6 months of study abroad, but I'm definitely planning on increasing mu list of countries visited

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to be able to volunteer and work at music festivals throughout the Spring and Summer and in the process, meet as many people as I can around the US and eventually the rest of the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- All of it!!! everything from Gogol Bordello to Snarky Puppy to Mucca Pazza to Snail House to Billy Eilish. I really love underground local music from my hometown and around the world and could talk for hours about the Chinese underground rock scene. All-time favorites though would have to be Streetlight Manifesto, Boogie Belgique, Beirut, and Nujabes.

I'm less knowledgable on movies, but love comedy, drama, fantasy, and animation, and would love to show anyone six-string samurai or time bandits

I'm even less knowledgable on my books... though Lemony Snicket was definitely my favorite growing up, and I could tell you about some good music business textbooks

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I found a teacher and learned how to play the traditional Chinese instrument called the sheng while studying abroad in Chengdu, China.

Countries I’ve Visited
