ABOUT ME
(almost) Architect, avid musician, and former electrician who loves novel adventures and makes a mean pizza. Right now I'm two months away from finishing my Masters degree in architecture. It's been a pretty long journey but definitely one of the best choices I've ever made. From moving across the country, meeting friends, and learning a ton of new skills, I absolutely believe in taking risks and following your passions.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

EXPERIENCE
I'm pretty new to couchsurfing. It was a good friend of mine, who being a verified couchsurfing addict, turned me on to it. I stayed with him for a few weeks and he also hosted a number of awesome surfers. It was a great experience staying with other surfers and hearing about their stories, travels, and talents. Loved every minute, that's why I'm here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm in-between accommodations so I'm primarily surfing. I'll be happy to host once I'm a little more set-up.

Música, películas y libros

I'm pretty open musically, but I'm especially into anything that is local to the place and a little harder to find. My favorite film is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, also a big fan of Wes Anderson, spaghetti westerns, and Bruce Lee flicks.
Fiction authors I'm into include Douglas Cardinal, Chuck Palahniuk, William Gibson. Non-fiction: Jane Jacobs, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Noam Chomsky, Marshall McLuhan, and lots of architecture books.

During a trip hiking the west coast trail, I came across a woman who had shattered her ankle amongst some of the worst hiking conditions I've seen. A friend and I made sure she was safe while we hiked past, trying to find someone with a satellite phone so we could call in a rescue. After calling, we learned that only a small boat was available, not the helicopter we expected. We guided the boat into shore in the dead of night and then helped the two paramedics bring the Jenn to safety. We carried her down 100ft of cliffs and about 4 hours of hiking in stretcher. Despite our total exhaustion and the treacherous terrain we managed to get her to the boat to seek emergency medical attention. I've never experienced such a life and death situation totally dependent upon myself.
