We are husband and wife traveling for 2 months for our honeymoon and discovering Europe. Ian is Argentinian and Marielle is American. We love being outdoors, hiking, and relaxing in a beach, lake, or forest. We also love experiencing a culture by their food, architecture, clothing, history and way of life. We think that traveling is the best thing ever and offers so much more to learn than any stationary lifestyle. It’s hard to balance traveling with working in today’s world so when we do get to travel, we like to make the most of it.

We emphasize eating healthy and organic whenever possible. We are not vegetarian but care about the quality of an animals life and do not buy cheap meat that was mass produced. We think it’s important to support local farmers and business and to live sustainably to care for the future of our planet.

Ian came to the United States four years ago to study, met Marielle and now we are starting our lives together. In Argentina he did taekwondo, kite surfing, snowboarding and spent every summer camping.

Marielle genuinely loves nothing more than cooking, and sharing food means so much to her. She also likes to learn new languages, and is currently working on French and Danish, and already speaks English, Spanish and German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We started off to get to know some locals and save some money, and now we’re addicted!! We have met so many amazing people and had so many amazing experiences that we never would have had otherwise. We are so happy there is a way to meet so many good people so easily and to learn so much. This community is so beautiful and welcoming and giving, we are truly amazed at the goodness in the world that you may never have know existed.
