About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Updated on 6/3/19

Just found out that I have been offered a job in Japan and I leave in early July! I have no idea if I'll be able to host at this point since I'll be living in a shared apartment situation. Safe travels, everyone!

ABOUT ME

I am the kind of person that loves to try new things and is open to change. I'm pretty damn funny, full of energy, and live to make people laugh. I can talk to anyone and I usually do.

PHILOSOPHY

Leave everything better than how you found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm traveling a lot but I'm willing to share my living room couch for the weary traveler, as long as I'm home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a handful of times and I really enjoy everything about Couchsurfing. In 2014 I fully depended on the kindness of strangers by really utilizing CS and staying in a different city every weekend. I only repeated the same city two or three times for the entire year! I call that a success!

Update 2017: I couch surfed in a couple countries in Europe and had the time of my life! I highly recommend visiting Iceland.

Interests

As cliche as it sounds, I enjoy spending time with friends and talking (especially over a beer). I also enjoy outdoor activities, weight lifting, tailgating, boxing, disc golf, drumming, and anything music related (listening or playing).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I also love lamp. Everything from bluegrass to electronica.

Daft Punk, ALL THINGS FUNK! Odesza, Trampled by Turtles, Yonder Mountain String Band, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Foster the People, Al Green, Sigur Ros, ADTR, Willie Nelson, J Cash, Hank, Bassnectar, Explosions in the Sky, El Ten Eleven, Glitch Mob, Justice, My Morning Jacket, Modest Mouse, MGMT, Bach, Flaming Lips...and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have run a couple half marathons and a full marathon (poorly).

In 2014 I traveled to a different city every weekend. I think that's pretty amazing, but what do I know?

In 2015 I drove all of Route 66. It was one of the best things I've ever done in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to play disc golf.
Learn: I'd like to learn how to break dance.
Share: I'm always up for sharing a beer and conversation.

Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Taiwan, United States, Virgin Islands, U.S.
