About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see every part of the world while absorbing all the knowledge it holds and making an impact along the way.

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm a 27 year old guy trying to explore the world and enjoy new experiences every day. I work on computers to pay the bills, but my passion lies in photography, bike riding, and nature.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life with the philosophy that we should all journey along making as little impact as possible on the earth and as much impact as possible on each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm too new to say I've participated much! When I was younger, my family hosted 4 different exchange students (from Sweden/Switzerland/Germany), and back in 2007 I studied abroad in Russia and lived on a couch. So I certainly appreciate the impact of having a couch to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in a touring band for a few years, and we slept on a LOT of couches. We wouldn't have been able to make it without the kindness of people with empty couches.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: folk, metal, jazz, punk, bluegrass, classical. Depending on my mood, it could be Joanna Newsom or Agalloch or Wes Montgomery or Circle Jerks or Earl Scruggs or George Bizet.

Movies: 75% of what I've watched recently is documentaries

Books: Anything on linguistics or politics or secularism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing in Red Square in -30 degree Winter. I'll never forget it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe we can all learn things from each other. No matter who you are, no matter your story, you've got something to offer the world. My "share" with the world is my music and my photography - both of which are inspired directly by the events I go through.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Russian Federation, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
