About Me
ABOUT ME
So what to write, I have recently finished my studies and graduated as fully qualified Architect in October 2009. Having spent the last 7 years in education, I decided to put the career on hold and finally experience some of the world.
I am easy going and relaxed, someone who has respect for other peoples space and property. I enjoy meeting new people and getting that local perspective / viewpoint whilst travelling.
PHILOSOPHY
To be confirmed...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only just been given the heads up on couch surfing and Im currently travelling so I will be looking to surf for the next few weeks.
I am going to be in Australia for the next few months, hoping to get some work and much needed money down in Melbourne, so who knows in a few weeks hopefully I'll be able to start hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately, I've only just started couch surfing, so watch this space, ill update it with my experiences when they happen, maybe you could be the first.....?
Interests
I consider my interests to be fairly broad, mainly, Art, Architecture, Food and Reading. My Reading material varies from book to book, it can be Biographical, Crime Ficton or even Science Fiction.
The same can be said about Art and Architecture too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books and Music go hand in hand really, so again I have a varied taste, but I always enjoy a good laugh out loud comedy or a good action thriller - although I have to say I can never remember names of Actors / Actresses.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Im relatively young in the travelling world, I guess, ive only been away for two months, but:
- I recently saw the Franz Joseph Glacier on the South Island and did a Glacier Walk.
- Swam with the smallest Dolphin, Hector Dolphin found only in the Southern Hemisphere
- Sea Kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park - seeing some of the most amazing and remote beaches that I could happily get ship wrecked on.
- Terracotta Warriors in Xian, I was not prepared for the sight and scale of the excavations, definately work backwards pit 3, then 2 and then 1.
- Travelling by bamboo raft down the river at Guilin in rural china.
- Soft Sleeper Trains in China - apparently I can cause quite some cautious looks?!?
Teach, Learn, Share
Travelling has been a really positive experience for me and I think its easy to stay in comfort zone but generally the best experiences come from challenging yourself and to contiunally push the boundaries of your comfort zone. At the end of the day what have you got to loose, if it doesn't kill us, it generally makes us stronger!
