About Me

ABOUT ME

I am Ian. My wife and I currently teach English in a small city in South Korea. We met when we were in 6th grade. We remained friends and attended the same schools from middle school through university. We dated for many years and got married after we graduated from university. Now we hope to travel the world for some time before settling in the US closer to our family. Another life defining part of my life has been faith. I was raised in a christian household, but didn't really question it or commit to it until the end of high school.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in one small city my whole life, then road-tripped across America, sold my car in California, and moved to South Korea.

Teach, Learn, Share

Treat others as you would like to be treated. I believe I have been privileged with a great life. I do not deserve the good things that have come my way. I am very happy and thankful. However, it's easy to be happy and peaceful when I have been given a happy peaceful life. Unfortunately, in a similar way, others do not deserve the bad things that have come there way. It is easy for them to be unhappy or stressed out because they have been given an unhappy stressful life. I think it is important for everyone to realize that we all are simply reacting to the mind, body, and environments that we have been given and situated within. When people are mad or mean there's often a reason. People need love, encouragement, and honesty. They don't need to be put in a box. I feel personally that learning from Jesus has lead me to this understanding. I want to encourage all those who feel the same desire to love and be loved to consider learning more about what Jesus believed and did. ☺️ Also, I want to learn from other people what they believe and have learned in life. I think we have the potential to learn from and teach each other myriads of new things.
