About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience and understand other cultures and ways of life.

ABOUT ME

I am currently on a year off from University. I spent two years at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and now I hope to transfer in to the University of Texas. I am passionate about photography and film (whether its watching movies or making them). I have grown up in Austin and love it here, but I am also looking forward to seeing other parts of the world. I love meeting people and learning about their interests, as well as sharing my own. I always try to keep an open mind!

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that everyone has something to say of value, and I want to know what it is. I don't proclaim to be of any religion in particular but I try to appreciate and accept all of them. I love talking to people and learning about other ways of life. I want to experience as much as I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I have no way of hosting people due to my housing situation. So, I am strictly limited to maybe meeting for coffee while I'm in town, which I would be totally up for! I am headed to South America in February to teach photography, farm, and do some other traveling. I hope to do some surfing while I'm in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, or Peru!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any yet, but I cannot wait to participate!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the Coldplay concert at the Austin City Limits music festival during their X&Y tour. The concert was brilliant, but as Chris Martin was singing Talk he got to the words "take a picture of something you see" and he told everyone to point their cameras in the air and snap a photo. As this happened I turned around and saw the most amazing, massive wave of light as 50,000+ people set off their flashes at the same time. It was pretty powerful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Be nice, and genuine. Also, cut the crap, honesty is the best rule.

Don't light gunpowder too close to your face. It hurts.

Austin's best diving board: Bartin Springs.
Austin's best burger: P Terry's
Austin's best Michelada: The San Jose
Austin's best dub step club: Plush or Barcelona
