About Me

I'm a diet technician/food service supervisor who is passionate about exploring the world, but also values my time indoors doing quiet hobbies as well. I may be starting globetrotting later than lots of others, but I plan on making up for the lost time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just started a full-time career in a field that gives me paid vacation days so I'm able to travel properly for the first time in my adult life! It was a 4-year long struggle getting here from a casual position because I work in a unionized position.

I would like to meet more people from around the world as well.

Interests

-Antique book collecting: I'm the proud owner of a partial set of cookbooks from the 1910s and a first-edition biography of Abraham Lincoln

-Art history: My favorite periods are Impressionism and the Renaissance. This has been a passion of mine since I was around 15.

-Learning new languages and culture: I'm currently learning Spanish on an app but I've studied Japanese in my university days and attended some cultural exchange groups. Currently planning my next trip to Mexico in September in time for its Independence Day!

-Novel writing: I've been into writing fantasy and scifi. I've read a lot of great scifi and fantasy novels because I've been a bookworm since a young age and now I think I'm ready to write one of my own.

What I Can Share with Hosts

-I take off my shoes when I go into an indoor space. It's a tradition instilled by my Taiwanese parents that's remained with me all my life.

-I don't smoke or do drugs. I tried when I was in university and can say that those habits aren't for me.
