About Me
CURRENT MISSION
12 states in 2012. Four countries in 2013.
ABOUT ME
I've always considered myself a free soul, but upon finding this sight...I am such a novice. I've lived in Texas, Michigan, and Arizona. I love them all. Texas was great, but it is extremely hot and humid. Michigan's weather is always changing, snow one day, summer heat the next. Arizona's weather never changes. Never rains. During my stay in Arizona I would take a week off of "Mannying" and camp out alone, close to Superstition Mountain. It was extremely scary. Mountain lions live there. I didn't get eaten. I love discussing random stories and making up games. Screwing up games of Scrabble and the Scripps National Spelling Bee are amazing. I moved to Denver in October '10 after deciding it would be much cheaper than San Diego. Its the best place in the world & I love it here. I live right downtown.
PHILOSOPHY
St. Augustine once said "The world is a great book... Those who never stir from home read only a page." ---my thoughts: Wow. I love this. I love reading and can't wait to get to the next chapter!
"To feel at home, stay at home. A foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. Itâs designed to make its own people comfortable." - Clifton Fadiman
my thoughts: amazing. some people don't understand that if you go somewhere else, you're gonna feel out of place... it's not your place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I actually couchSurf'd before I knew of this site! I went to Mexico to find my mothers family. I ended up in the wrong town and asked people if I could stay on their couch! They were all amazing. I loved it. I also did it in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco, MEX). That one was interesting..!
Interests
Zoomie (a game everyone must play). reading old books, but not finishing them. I love to sit at a park and just look up. Or down. Or Left. Or right. My job is great. I work at a day time drop in center for women & kids experiencing homelessness or poverty. I've never been as passionate about something in my life.
