About Me

#0 - I'm too busy with my work and studies right now, so I cannot host almost nobody NEW till the end of this year (2017). But, the people that I already know from previous experiences, maybe i can help you, although I won't have any time to hangout, unfortunately. Text me. Next year I hope my life comes back to normal.

#1 - The CS is much more then free hostel, so I'm not accepting automatic request from people who did not read my profile. Trust me, I have a way to know if you did read or not the full profile.

#2 - Once a month I invite people who let a Public Request for my city, if I like their profile. If I invite you, please answer my message. Cause if you don't want or don't need, I can give the chance to another traveler.

#3 - If you have 0 references, your chances with me are very low. I only consider new people who takes a time to fulfill his or her profile with a good amount of informations about himself / herself, as well as photos. I don't trust lazy profiles.

#4 - I access the community app everyday. So I'll certainly answer your request within 24 hours.

Plan my next backpacking for Europe in 2018.

My name is Icaro Muniz, but please call me Kiko. I love my nickname. I'm a Brazilian guy who loves to learn languages and make friends everywhere. I like movies and music quite a lot and I love to talk about them. I was introduced to this community in 2014 and since then I had the opportunity to meet so many cool peoples and experience a lot awesome things that I probably wouldn't without CS. So I'm very grateful to the site and I tried to help nice people every time I can. I also enjoy learning others languages, so the site is a very good way to practice them without leaving home or immerse in it in another country as I could do in Mexico and USA lately.

#1 - There are much more GOOD people in the world then BAD ones.
#2 - To live the moment.
#3 - You only live once, make sure it is enough.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couching and surfing... Even though I must say that I'm now living in a very small place, where I think I could not host more than one person at a time. For tourists who want to visit Brasília, I think I live in one of the best areas, because I'm almost inside the Center and heart of the city.

I'm starting my experiences hosting and meeting people from many places. Right now I'm not able to travel as much as I like, cause I have been studying to get a better job along the week. But I already know a lot of people abroad and I'm sure I'm gonna met many of them in a near future. I have been meeting a lot a good people and I'm loving this experience. I wish I had learn about this website a long time ago!
Last year (2016) I had the opportunity to use this site to know Mexico City, Cancún, Rio de Janeiro in the Olympics, and Florianópolis. This year (2017) I did a 40 days backpacking through USA from West to Est only using CS, what was pretty amazing, and I did a 10 days trip to Curitiba where I met some good friends that I previously hosted in my home.

I like making friends and knowing about their cultures, and I very much like nature and things like hiking, climbing, waterfalls, swimming... I consider myself a cinephile. I'm constantly watching movies and some TV shows, and talking about them. I like music too, I'm very ecletic in this matter, even though my heart pumps much stronger when the subject is "Heavy Metal". \m/
I like to laugh a lot, so I'm very good with outgoing people and funny people.

A little of portuguese. I know a lot the language and I'm very patience and love to teach. And I'm learning to play guitar now, if you like that we can practice!

A good talk and a place to stay, with fridge, hot shower, internet, a mattress, a pillow and some blankets. Everything is always clean. I wash everything after each new guest.
