ABOUT ME

Australian girl who moved to Scotland, showed up there only to find it felt like home and have decided I never want to leave (though inevitably had to happen ONE day - damn visas!!)

I love music, play the guitar, and especially love SINGING!

I have two fantastic kids - a boy and a girl (4 and 3 yrs respectively). They're my world! I am a single parent, but I enjoy everything and balance life/uni/work/parenting very well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have both been hosted and been a host :) have many a pleasant experience so far. I like to promote CS to people who haven't heard of it before and encourage them to give it a try. I am also happy to encourage people with kids to consider it, and hope to be given the chance to attempt the occasional CS with my two kids myself :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well when I left home at 16 I surfed on various local friend's couches for a wee while... and since have couch surfed in London, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam :)

Music - too many to mention! From The Fratellis to Kylie Minogue to Greenday to The Proclaimers... allllllll sorts! Fave books include The God of Small Things (by Arundhati Roy), and How to Be Good (by Nick Hornby). Favourite movies - Miyazaki films like My Neighbor Totoro, and I also really loved Lucky Number Slevin, Fight Club, Leon the Professional... Anything that makes you think/is very clever! Oh and FYI - Mass Whovian!

Only one thing... Hmm..... I literally stopped typing and thought about that question for about 7 minutes then! Ummm... Whitewater rafting in Indonesia when I was 12 with my mum, was pretty exhilirating...

I'm happy to help people learn how to make Aussie foods, like Lamingtons, Pavlovas and Damper... Also to sing and play guitar with. I love talking but am also a great listener, and lots of people come to me for advice, so am happy to offer that also...
