About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get established in Austin.

ABOUT ME

Well so much to say here but I'll start with the most current stuff.

I decided to take a huge leap and move across state-lines. Living up to a motto I`ve learned: Jump first, Fear later. I have a family now and have an awesome dog that is people crazy. He loves to jump all over new friends and make sure they know they are welcomed.

PHILOSOPHY

A stranger is a friend I haven't meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I`ve used CS in Mexico a lot when I was on Tour with Invisible Children. I always wanted to host and hope I can do that sometime soon. I`ve been to CS parties and they are pretty awesome with great people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had an awesome time at CS party in Queretaro,MX. Stayed with a CS named Laurance which was one of the coolest people I meet in that city. She was a great host and has a awesome spirit. Her house was great.

Interests

General Stuff: I love to play the guitar and anything that has to do with music in general (writing, recording, & producing music), rock climbing, play any sport, video editing, traveling (of course), have honest conversations, experience new cultures, help people anyway possible, play soccer, go to concerts, be socially conscious, enjoy life, spread a positive vibe, learn new things, read, write, create, and enjoy friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have a very eclectic taste in music - Thrice, Dustin Kensrue, Chuck Ragan, Emarosa, Conditions, La Ley, Maña, Saosin, Miles Davis, Sinatra, Santana, Mumford, The Roots, Bob Marley, Brand New, Anatholo, Sigur Ros, The Early November, Ace Enders, The Head and The Heart, Willy Rodriguez, Eye Alaska, Seven Lions, Sublime, City and Colour, Bob Marley, Damien Rice, Four Year Strong, The Roots, Damien Marley, John Foreman, MIA, Taking Back Sunday, Tom Waits, Underoath, Anberlin, Seven Lions, My American Heart, Cold War Kids, Coldplay, Emery, Finch, Third Eye Blind, Jesse Barrera, Kanye West, Roy English, The Format, The Beatles, The Swell Season, Daphne Loves Derby, Circa Survive, Cultura Profetica, Skrux, sountrack stuff, and the list goes on and on.

Movies: I like almost all genres except for horror films. They are just too predictable and cheese for me.

Books: I`ve always wanted to read a ton of books from start to finish but I usually get too impatient to finish them but maybe you can enlighten me on a good book like the rare ones I have finished. Some I have really enjoyed are Out of the Silent Planet, This Hideous Strength, Breach of Faith: Hurricane Katrina and the Near Death of a Great American City,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have jumped off a cliff (into water of course), traveled in a van through two countries and 7 states in 5 days, driven from coast to coast in a week, spent time at the Vortex in AZ (which apparently there are only 2 in the world), spent the night in Slab City (see the movie- Into the Wild if you don't know what I'm talking about), and traveled through a 3rd of the US.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Spanish, guitar (and other instruments), soccer (Licensed! What!), and how to make a mean sandwich (a Manwhich)!! I would like to learn how to play more instruments, sky dive, languages (French and Portuguese at least). I can share some good stories with you about life on the road and other adventures like when I saw an old man catch a baby great white shark off a pier.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, and a helpful hand around the house.

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Mexico, Romania, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
