About Me

Hi!

My name is Ida, I'm 20 years old and from Denmark! Right now I'm taking a gap year but I'm planning to study in September. I'm quite versatile and I have a lot of hobbies. One of my big concerns and interests is the environment and the climate, so I have a big interest in organic lifestyle, zero waste, non-shopping and so on. Therefore I also see myself as a minimalist and do as much as I can to travel as sustainable and climate-friendly as possible!:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is to meet new people! I think it's a great way to get to know people and different cultures, much better than living at a hotel. I also do it to expand my own horizon, get some other perspectives on both my own life and life in general!

Music, Movies, and Books

What I hear most, is rock and jazz!

One film that really got stuck in my memory is a Swedish movie called "Gräns", which means "border" in English. Amazing and super weird, I love it!

I'm a big fan of a British writer called Zadie Smith and her books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to go travel all by myself

Managed to tidy up in all my stuff and value materialistic things less

Teach, Learn, Share

If people want to know about the ancient Rome and Greece, they can just come to me( after I have been studying it for three years);)

But I would also be great a bit more modern language. Perhaps being a bit better at german and French. Maybe even learn some Polish when I arrive there;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good mood, interesting conversations and good stories. Also a beer:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden
