ABOUT ME

I'm trying to be a scientist. I read a lot, make a mess in my head, then read some more. I enjoy working in a lab: I secretly admire ultracentrifuges and micropippetes, I get a kick out of looking at bands on an agarose gel, that kind of stuff.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like showing my city to visiting friends. I can give you all the help I can with planning out your travel to/from Kraków, showing you around, translating for you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no "formal" CouchSurfing experience yet, but I like to travel to see friends around Europe and I'm very happy having them stay at my home.

兴趣

I like summer music festivals. I like not giving a damn about anything else apart from my friends, sun, some food and what happens on the stage. Perhaps this is important for me because I didn't get to do it when I was a teenager, but I'd like to think it's simply a part of who I am now. And would like to be.

I like late mornings and wearing not more than three colours at once. I like pretty things: clothes, architecture, pictures, typefaces, well-designed appliances. I prefer quality to quantity. Things made thoughtfully and with care give me great pleasure.

I like travelling, as in: moving, changing places. I feel comfortable with Western culture and in Western societies (although some more than others).

There are two things that you need to know about me and music:
1. I should get a tattoo saying "My headphones, they saved my life." 2. Just like last year and the year before, I'm SO envious of people who get to go to Primavera Festival.
There. I said it.

As for books, names that come to mind are Konwicki, Dawkins, Barnes, Pamuk, García Márquez, and Dehnel. I'm currently re-reading Sapkowski's Witcher series.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Yachting trip in Croatia was definitely the best summer trip I've ever had. The possibility of stopping anywhere just to jump out and swim, sailing anywhere for the night--it made me very, very happy.
