Overview
About Me
I'm Ier, a 26 year old non-binary person who loves critical theory. I consider myself an easy-going and social person (some have recently even called me a 'social butterfly'), who's always down for a coffee or a beer and a good laugh.
Currently, I'm working in a restaurant, and in my free time I enjoy doing sports (boxing, climbing), meeting up with friends & emerging myself within the queer community.
I would describe myself as someone who is outgoing, yet who also knows how to calm down and be with myself. When wondering around new cities or places, what I enjoy most is getting lost in my own thoughts while trying to take everything in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I wanna continue meeting fun and nice people, and enrich my life by spontaneous encounters and conversations. People give me so much energy,
Interests
I can be a pretty busy person, in the sense that I always wanna do too much at the same time. But while I often am trying to stay occupied, I also really enjoy a good afternoon by myself doing nothing and turning towards myself. This, I think, is a nice balance between being surrounded by people and distractions, while also not being scared of being alone. Couchsurfing and solo-traveling are hence things that I incredibly value in order to become more 'me'.

Teach, Learn, Share
Whenever I'm with friends and we're going on a walk, I often tend to give (unsolicited) art-historical facts about architectural designs around us, or art pieces we encounter. This teaching about art history comes from a place of enthusiasm. I would love to be taught information like that about your living environment too, and would be stoked to attentively listen to your different stories and relating to that environment.
I also love cooking, and sharing a home-made meal with other people is my favorite thing in the world -- this is one of the tangible things that I can offer if you host me.
