28-year-old from Lithuania, currently living in Murcia, Spain.

For more than 6 years I was studying at university (Bachelor's degree in Economics and Master's degree in Marketing) and for almost 5 years I had an office job.

But I decided to change my life a little bit, add more colours to it, meet new people, try different things - here I am, an European Solidarity Corps' volunteer in Murcia, Spain. I want to use this opportunity to see not only the city that is my home for this year, but also other towns in this beautiful country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just moved to Spain and I want to get to know this country and its culture better, and I'm sure that the best way to do it is by meeting local people.

Interests

- I love walking. Doesn't matter if it's in an oltown, busy streets, nature or shopping mall.
- The only festival that I really celebrate each year is Christmas. I like that it brings melancholic atmosphere, family gathering together, but I also enjoy the commercial side of it: fairy lights, evergreen trees, fake snow, angels and elves, cocoa and warm baked goods, mulled wine, searching for gifts (to others and yourself), making calendar for next year, most importantly - Christmas music and movies.
- From the active leisure, I really enjoy rollerblading and jumping rope.
- I've been watching Formula E for the past 3-4 seasons, and I also felt in love with Formula E (besides from following each race online, I've been to Rome and Berlin ePrix).
- I like coffee, cocoa, beer, wine... when I think about it now, probably, I like tyring out drinks a bit more than food, but I wouldn't say no to a nice brunch, interesting dessert, picnic. When I have enough free time, I like cooking myself, too.

Music, Movies, and Books

- I love movies-musicals, Disney movies, though, my favourite movie is "Inception".
- I like music of 70s, 80s, 90s. Last summer, while travelling, I found out that I really enjoy Italian music even though I don't understand the lyrics - it just sounds nice, like the language was made to be sung.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For almost 5 years, I was working in International Studies Office in university in Lithuania. In October 2019, I applied for European Solidarity Corps volunteering position in Spain. Luckily and a bit unexpected, I got accepted. In a few days, I took care of all necessary stuff, went to a week-long business trip to Kazakhstan, got home and had 2 days to finish everything (pack my things, give back the apartment to the owner, say all the goodbyes), and then left for Spain. Here I am now :)
