Overview
About Me
I am a person you should go into the mountains with.
A Lithuanian emigrant and a German immigrant, but at the moment I consider myself a Berliner. I do not really love big cities (even though I have an academic specialization in city planning...), but i absolutely love plants, social equality and hiking (!). I was a barkeeper, I am an architect now, and I want to be an urban scholar some day. I love reading complicated books and discussing complicated themes. I also love beer and wine, and having people from different backgrounds around me. I am tolerant but disappointed with mainstream tourism - so at my place you would get a good glimpse of what this city is really about. And name is IEVA, not LEVA (apparently I must state it as a response to the recent couchsurfers' messages. Four letters, people - it is not astrophysics)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The CS community is amazing, and I got to appreaciate it so much during my recent two months trip in North America that I did almost entirely on CS. I met so many amazing people, got to hear so many wonderful ideas and to share my experiences, food and wine with so many great personalities, so now I want to give some hospitality and good energy back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I slept for the first time in my life alone on the ocean shore in a tent on Brier Island in Nova Scotia, when the next human being was five kilometers away. That night I said to myself - if I can do it, I can do everything.
oh, and I did a shit load of hikes in the wilderness in Canada. alone. and after hearing the story of the pack of coyotes that atacked a single female traveler in Cape Breton Island two years ago
What I Can Share with Hosts
A mattress, clean bed sheets (after seeing NY and being by myself on the road for a longer time it is just a healthy precaution because of all the travel companions), cooking together and sharing wine, beer and stories
