So I'm Ifan, and I grew up in a tiny village on the coast of North Wales. This lifestyle, although perfect in some ways, couldn't satiate my hunger for adventure and so I moved to London to study, obviously a huge, but exciting difference! After finishing university, I travelled in South America for 7 months, and I have just now returned home. I hope to study a PhD next year.

I love the big city, the excitement, the multiculturalism, the adventure, but also from time to time like to come home to the beauty, security and peace of the Welsh countryside.

For me personally, life is all about experiences, and that's why I love to travel so much, every moment spent travelling is experiencing new scenarios, people, cultures. I'm happiest when travelling and experiencing the world and hope to do and see as much as possible in my life.

As a person I would describe myself as very creative and outgoing! I play lead guitar and sing in a band so am a big music fan, am quite arty, like to draw and read in my spare time, enjoy cooking, very much like to party, love watching and playing sports (football, rugby, tennis, climbing), like to hang out and watch a film or have a discussion, get drunk, go for an adventure, cook, chill out, name your interest and you'll probably find I'm interested too!

I really like the idea of CS as I'm a very social person and love meeting and talking to new people, so for sure when travelling I'd much rather stay with a local than in a hostel! I love hosting and also surfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered to work at a wildlife reserve called Parque Ambue Ari near Trinidad in Bolivia. I spent my days working with a puma and three baby howler monkeys. It was incredibly special having the privilege to get to know and to help these beautiful creatures!
