About Me

I would describe myself as friendly, open-minded with a positive attitude and good energy:)
I enjoy talking to interesting people over a glass of good wine or Scotch whisky, I like travelling and having adventures, the more unpredictable life is, the better!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of Couchsurfing - the opportunity to meet local people while traveling and actually to get to know them a bit, hear their stories, stay at their homes, share time, meals and discussions with them:)
To me, it's definitely the best way of travelling as it allows me to get to know the genuine character and culture of a place I go to.

I love meeting new people, especially from different countries, of various backgrounds, religions and cultures as it makes the whole experience even more interesting.
I don't believe in any stereotypes, cliches and prejudices!
Basically - peace and love to everyone;) hehe

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a bit old-fashioned wit music as I mainly like bands from the 50's, 60's and 70's but obviously there is a lot of good stuff these days as well...

The Beatles, The Doors, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, Calexico, Beirut, Vaya Con Dios, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, Gotan Project, Archives, Nick Cave, Johny Cash

Regarding movies... I think I especially like those that are socially engaged, based on true stories or basically have something important to say...
Directors I like: Kusturica, Tarantino, Woody Allen, Jim Jarmush, Pawel Pawlikowski, Krzysztof Kieślowski
A few films I would say I enjoyed most are: Godfather, The Goodfellas, Into the Wild, The Shawshank Redemption, The Big Blue, The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Requiem for a Dream, La Vita e Bella, Goodfellas, The Green Mile, Amelie, Untouchable, The American Beauty, Truman Show....

Books - Dostoyevsky, Kurt Vonnegut, Nabokov, George Orwell, Charles Dickens,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

parachute jumping, hitchhiking through the States, giving life to 2 incredibly naughty but lovely boys.... (I'm a single mum but I still try to travel as much as possible)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be very happy to cook some nice meals and share them with whoever is courageous enough to taste them;) ha ha
I like cycling as well so we could take a ride together to a nice place and have an outdoor picnic:)

Countries I’ve Lived In
