About Me

"Me-as-a-host" point of view: I can give a quick walk around Zurich and if you wanna go further hiking/mountain biking I'll gladly join you. We can play some Go (not CS:GO, but this, y'know, oriental board game) or just have a talk about something interesting. For example, human biases and rationality, artificial intelligence and machine learning, how could we live forever and why we should do it. And as soon as I learn playing piano good enough to make pleasant sounds out of it, I can give you some music too.

"Me-as-a-guest" point of view: pretty much the same, except I can't play the piano if you don't have it and can't walk you around Zurich if you live in Taiwan. If you're not in the talky mood at all - I can silently sleep on a mattress in the corner and go away in the morning - this is no problem. Cookies included.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of staying with people one is glad to talk with anyway. Much better than a hotel if you count the information gain per hour.

Interests

Virtually any kind of activity which can lead to discovering something new and interesting. If you're looking for "what to talk about with this guy", please refer to "About me" section.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like: world music, jazz, art rock, rock'n'roll, classical music (Chopin, Mozart etc.), Tom Waits, Diorama, Eminem.
Open for new kinds of music.

Movies: a lot good, no favorite. Except, maybe, "House M.D." TV series.

Books influenced me most: H. Hesse "The Glass Bead Game", R. Leighton, R. Feynman "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!", E.Yudkowsky "Rationality: From AI to Zombies". I have read quite a few other books as well and I continue to do so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sometimes I walk, usually alone, simply looking around and - hit! - the inner beauty of the world strikes awestruck, sweeping out all the trash from the head.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you just hang around in Switzerland we can easily go mountain hiking together, I know a few good places ;)
I can also teach you how to play Go (on an entry level) and am happy to just talk about something - there is probably quite a lot variation of information between us if you know what I mean.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thoughts, stories, cookies :)
Would be glad to exchange books (but need to talk in advance, so I bring them with me).
