About Me

I was born in Chile, but I moved out to Argentina when I was a child for a couple of years. Then, I came back to Chile definitely. In 2015, I made an exchange program in Melbourne (Australia) during 6 months, in which I studied in The University of Melbourne. It was a great experience and I would totally recommend it. Now, I have already finished my bachelor and I just started working at a big company, but I am always happy to meet with travellers who are visiting Chile.

Travelling is one of my favourite activities. In fact, I have visited many countries in America (North, Central and South), Oceania and Asia, and as a traveller, I expect to visit many more countries while I am capable of.

I am a very simple and kind guest that will be very respectful with the ones who are going to receive me. In addition, I will receive people with the arms wide open when I get my own place to live (a couple of years later).

Finally, I support the idea that people have to trust in others and open their minds in order to meet other realities and empathize with other cultures, and I think that Couchsurfing is a very good way to strengthen this belief.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because the best part of a trip is the possibility to spend time with people from that country to learn about countries' cultures, instead of using a guesthouse or live by your own, something that is not as exciting as stay with locals. In addition, Couchsurfing is a very good platform to remove prejudgements between countries.

I will be pleased to receive guests in my home when I have my own place in a couple of years, so I can contribute with travellers as well.

Interests

My principal interest is to travel and visit the biggest quantity of countries possible to know the world where we are living. Also, every country is different and has something unique to share.

My main motivation of traveling is meeting local people and immerse myself in the culture (food, lifestyle, etc). I also have a strong interest in sports and I have practiced them since I was a child because sports are a great way to relax and be a healthier person, both mentally and physically. Nowadays, my favourite sport is soccer and I play it every week. I am a huge fan of Boca Juniors.

Also, I am always keen to go for a drink or a good meal to spend some quality time with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read great books in my life like "Cien Años de Soledad" by Gabriel García Márquez and "El Tunel" by Ernesto Sabato, but I prefer watching movies, either alone or with friends. My favourite movies are "Slumdog Millionaire", "Gran Torino" and "Tropa de Elite".

I love playing music. I have played bass and guitar for 10 years so far and I expect to learn how to play drums in the future. Listening to music is something that I do every day, but going to live concerts is something amazing that I enjoy much more than listening to recorded music.

My favourite genders are Rock, Metal, Funk, Alternative and Blues.
It is hard to say which is my favourite band, but I can name some such as Metallica ,Foo Fighters, AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Daft Punk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Create my own music theme with my band.
- Travelled to every continent except Antarctica.
- Play amateur soccer for one year.
- Scuba Diving in the Great Barrier Reef.
- Be part of a TV commercial.
- Uluru's rock.
- Watching a Boca Juniors match in La Bombonera
