Overview
About Me
María and I met in our city, and after a while of small trips around, it was time for a longer journey that took us to New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, India, Nepal. We are finally going back home on June, after almost 2 years out, but things turned up unexpectedly and we will be able to have our first visit to Europe before coming back. Amazing :)
Who we are?
We both love yoga and, in a way, is present in everything we do. We have been practicing it everywhere we could and we want to make it our path in life. We have also practiced Acro! which is extremely fun and it teaches us to overcome fear and discover our potential.
Ignacio (Nacho, Iggy):
I'm 31 years old yogui born and raised in Córdoba, a city in central Argentina where the oldest university of the country (and one of the oldest in the Americas) is located. I studied Public Relations and community management to then work as a project manager in a translation company. I like making crafts such as origami and book binding and whatever comes in my hands :P I like reading and trying to learn music (eternal beginner). Lately the kitchen has captivated me and I am very happy spending hours there to see what comes out.
Maria (Majo):
I am a 24 years old Fashion Designer from Córdoba who likes learning new techniques around such as screen printing, batik, patchwork, etc. My latest hobby is macramé and I carry a bag of threads and beads around trying new things. I am interested in permaculture disigns and organic growing. In my free times I really enjoy practicing my ukulele skills and enjoying a nice outdoors afternoon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to listen to your stories, discover new worlds and different ways of living.
We have done a lot of voluntary work around New Zealand, Australia and India and we have found the best way of learning about the other is selfless sharing. We have found staying with the families we helped makes us part of the exchange instead of the usual "just watching" of the tourist mode.
This is our first time using CS and we hope we can make new friends and have good chats here and there. We think the idea of this site is extremely powerful: being invited to someones house, or even receiving a person you don't know yet in your place. We feel this is the true nature of hospitality, a powerful act of trust and we want to be part of this.
Interests
Movement is, what I believe, the force of the universe: as we move around the world we meet people, we face different realities and our presence modifies the world around us too.
We want to keep moving, to learn as much as we can.
