ABOUT ME

Ike is intense. When he does something, he puts his entire heart and soul into it. If it's a paper, he'll write two drafts before scrapping them and rewriting it from scratch to get it just so; if it's an algorithm, he'll spend days at the chalkboard to make sure it all works as it's supposed to; if it's a bicycle, he'll lock himself in a workshop for hours and forget to eat dinner. And he'll forget everything else along the way.

Centres d'intérêt

Mostly, I love learning new things. Rock climbing, fixing and building bicycles, and cooking and baking have been some of the threads throughout my life. I'm always interested in talking with people about anything they love, their passions.

I study computer science and math at Oberlin College, but I have interests in most disciplines, from literature to economics and politics and right through to physics.

Talking with my friend Willie a few months ago, all of a sudden it seemed we were talking about two lives, his and mine, as the same life, with the same nuances, reactions, difficulties, gods, demons, and beauty.

A week ago I was having a pretty lousy day, and overhauling the bottom bracket on my bicycle made everything a little better.
