ABOUT ME

I'm a 20-something girl from Finland, who loves travelling and meeting new people. You might have heard that us Finns are shy, cold and rude. We like drinking vodka, swearing and listening to black metal, while polar bears run on the streets in -35 degrees. We also spend half of our lives in sauna. Naturally, we all have blond hair, blue eyes and just LOVE singing karaoke. But at least Conan O’Brien likes us!

Fortunately, all you hear is rarely true. Let me break those stereotypes you might have about Finns, and you’ll see we’re really not too bad. I might seem a bit shy at first, but if you get to know me better, you'll see I'm actually quite nice, easy-going and jolly. :)

Though, I should probably add, that I'm not really a party animal, but rather enjoy just hanging out with people in cosy pubs while listening to some live music.

Music is life! Some artists I'm impressed by: Alan Menken, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Backstreet Boys, Danny Elfman, Ed Sheeran, Elvis Presley, Enrique Iglesias, Ewan McGregor, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, Jack Johnson, James Blunt, James Horner, James Morrison, Jason Mraz, Joe Hisaishi, Keane, Mads Langer, Mick Flannery, Ólafur Arnalds, Olavi Uusivirta, Olly Murs, Queen, Sumio Shiratori, Sunrise Avenue, The Baseballs, The Beatles, The Crash, The Fray, The Kooks, The Scorpions + men with acoustic guitar, 60's music and indie pop in general. Also Irish music is my weakness. I find new music-loves everyday!

Some pretty remarkable movies: Disney's Classics, Tim Burton, anything with Ewan McGregor in it, musicals & romantic movies (Moulin Rouge!, The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, The Holiday, Love actually etc.), BBC drama and such.

Some pretty cool stuff on TV: Castle, The Mentalist, Life, Alias, Grey's Anatomy, Pan Am, Downton Abbey, Pushing Daisies, Vampire Diaries and Once Upon A Time.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Travelling is always amazing and you get to meet new people and see cool places. Some of my best experiences have been while being on student exchange in Cork, Ireland and when living ang working in Lapland, Finland. It's amazing how different life can be somewhere else - and how much you still enjoy it! Life-changing experiences, is there anything better?

Also, I'm pretty much afraid of heights, but if I ever get to as far as New Zealand, I've promised to jump a benji!
