About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet adventurous people in Chile to experience the true outdoors
ABOUT ME
I am a master student Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente in The Netherlands. I have a special passion for adventure. Gaining new experiences and learning about other cultures and languages is of great interest to me. Furthermore I am an outdoor type. I love to go windsurfing, hiking or camping in the wilds. I work as a private driver and in my free time I work on machines and maintain an old car and a firetruck.
From september till februari i will be doing an internship in Vina del Mar in Chile. Therefor i'm looking to meet people for fun activities, surfing or just hanging around.
PHILOSOPHY
I learned there's no need to spend money on luxuries. It's fun to challenge yourself and gain experiences by being creative and have more with less.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
About two years ago i subscribed on the couchsurfing website. I haven't been using it so much since although i did welcome some guys at my place a while ago and they turned out to be some crazy football hooligans. A little weird but we had a good time.
Right now i'm planning to go couch surfing in Chile as i think it's a nice way to meet fun, social and adventurous people.
Interests
Surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding, long boarding, mountain biking. Hiking and camping in the wilds. Make roadtrips to find great places to surf. Learning about languages and local cultures. Being spontaneous!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy artists like Xavier Rudd, The Postal Service, Radical Face, etc. The movie i like the most is 180 South. An adventure to Patagonia. Right know i'm reading a spanish book from Isabelle Allende.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Roadtrip to Western Sahara where i got to see how happy people are at those remote places.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to improve my Spanish. I have been in Mexico for 4 months where i started learning it. Since then i have been trying to improve it at my place in the Netherlands but its hard when there's little Spanish people around. Hope one can help me with that in Chile;) I can teach you English, Dutch or maybe German.
