Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to enrich this community by beeing the best host and the best guest I can be. I'm always more interested in people then places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted and met couch surfers from all around the world to show them the good places. It was allways a great experience.

By surfing their couch, I got to know some new friends that felt like old friends to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love documentations. Also I like independent productions and some blockbusters (as long as they don't try to replace a storyline with explosions). Some friends of mine were involved in making short-movies. Of cause I love these movies too.
You need names? OK: Into The Wild, Cyrano de Bergerac, Gloomy Sunday, Brazil, Man from world, The Fall, Bankog Dangerous (not the Holiwood-version), Bin Jip (by Kim Ki Duk), Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (by Kim Ki Duk), Monday (by Sabu), Drive (by Sabu), Stranger then Fiction and many many others.

I love the comedy of George Carlin

Music: classical music (but not all kinds of), Cohen, Sophie Hunger, latin music, some independent rock, ...
When I don't want to be relaxed I listen to rock-music and my friends never get weak to drag me to Motorhead-concerts :-) but I'm not really a concert-person unless I have a seat and nobody tries to spill his bear on me. I loved the Yamato-Concerts, that's the kind of music you have to see live. For all other music: I'd rather sit in a nice car, driving a nice road listening to it. Or to spend the night sitting outside with friends, watching city lights and listen to the imperfect sound of a car-radio.

Books: Water Music, Shogun, Perfume, Don Quixote and all the poets from Shakespeare to Robert Frost, also good comics and graphic novels, I love Calvin&Hobbes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A young bird on his first flight flew right out of its nest and sat down on my shoulder.

I flew 5 metres high while carrying a inflatable boat on my back when I was a child. The winds were too strong.

I was on stage with Tito and Tarantula (just for one song).
I played with the Scorpions while beeing part of an orchestra.

I got lost in Death Valley.

I drove through Las Vegas with an Elvis-Impersonator on the backseat of my (rented) Harley.

I flew with buzzards.

I shot 6 Nineball-Breaks in a row.

I let a stone step more then 20 times.

I meditated until all physical pain disappeared.

I learned to walk again after a heavy motorcycle accident.

I layed 3 or more hours at night in a meadow in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm just to write a better poem about it.

I can touch my nose with my tongue.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music: If you have an instrument, we can jam.

Juggling: I have taught 3 people by now whithin one day how to juggle with 3 balls. So I guess I'm not a bad teacher in that discipline...

I also can teach you how to play pool billards. I'm not a bad player and can teach you some easy trick-shots to amaze your friends with (and drag some money out of their pockets) when you're back home.

I can teach you how to shoot with bow and arrow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

To say it with the words of
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

"And the night shall be filled with music,
And the cares, that infest the day,
Shall fold their tents, like the Arabs,
And as silently steal away."
