My goal is to be peaceful and self-sufficient. To learn, grow, help, serve, meditate, and give where I can. And to make beautiful pottery.

ABOUT ME

I am a seeker of truth, an explorer, a libra, a meditator, a cyclists and a traveler. I am an entertainer thanks to my days of theater (including clowning and stand up comedy). But that was long ago. Nowadays I am studying social work and trying to experience the academia of the forests, the lands, the skies and the clay I throw into pots and cups. I also want to learn the science of time from the seat of my bike. I want to learn from people, the constellations of miracles, miseries, kindness, joy, and complex simplicities.

I eat. I bike. I play. I meditate (daily). I sleep. I do things humans do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted many people in my (past) collective house in Vancouver. But I did so before I got a couch surfers account (or before I started using it). Ive hosted people I met on the street, at conferences, and people I have met in my travels who hosted me.

I now live in a house with a huge backyard and have lovely, friendly roommates. We host a lot collectively, and try to manage it in a such a way so that we don't experience couchsurfing burnout-especially given that we also accept warmshowers guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a traveling cyclist, Ive used warmshowers.org more than couch surfers, though Ive surfed many a couches, futons, backyards and cold cement floors. Although I may not have many vouchers now (as I havent been using the site), I have many references if you should wish to have them.

PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SOO KIND AND AMAZING! I cannot begin to describe the kindness that's hosted me along the way. I can only hope that my cooking and baking was somewhat adequete to repay these folks. I have infinite gratitude to all my past, present and future hosts.

Birth and death at the same time. It keeps happening and I cant control it.

Teach, Learn, Share

They call me the leftover queen. I have skills when it comes to using up leftovers. Ive made potato pancakes out of leftover dahl and potatoe pea curry. Ive made dip out of squash skins and yam soup. Ive made brownies out of beets and cooked oatmeal. I can go on but I dont want my ego puffing up.

I also bake bread.
