ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty simple guy who gets a kick out of being in different places and meeting different people. If I could have never guessed being in that place or meeting that person, it's been a success.

I play a lot of music, so a visit to me could involve anything from a drunken blues jam to a quiet night taking in an acoustic set at a coffee house.

PHILOSOPHY

Mark Twain once penned "In 20 years, we'll regret the things we didn't do, not the things we did do". I find that to be very true, even at the 5 year stage. Imagine after 20! And so I move...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met up with some couchsurfers while in Argentina and really loved the idea and the experience. It's a thrilling mindset to be in, and so I hope to bring that into day-to-day life and add to it. I am new to Toronto, so seeing it along with travelers is a great plan. Because of work I have less opportunities to travel, and so this is an attempt to find an alternative!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing highlights include a wonderful Christmas Eve party in Buenos Aires as well as a great walk through Puerto Madero for my first couchsurfing meet-up and language exchange. Since then, I've hosted a few people and had a great time chatting over food and drinks and seeing Toronto together.

I'm interested in playing music, reading, cooking, hiking, playing sports and discussing just about anything over tea, coffee or drink.

I'm a big fan of British rock, and older, acoustic, mellowed out stuff too. As for books, my favorite author might very well be John Steinbeck, though my favorite book is likely Catcher in the Rye. This being said, I enjoy non-fiction to fiction. I'm not sure why, but movies don't really do it for me.

Tough question. In travel, these moments are subtle, but when they are there, you feel overwhelmingly happy to be wherever you are, seeing whatever you are seeing, or doing whatever you are doing.

I can show you how to make some wonderful fajitas, play guitar, learn a bit of a language, and in case you've got ice and gear in your backyard, how to play hockey. I'd love to learn how to cook your favorite dish.
