I have used Couchsurfing a lot in the past when travelling, mainly to meet locals to go out and visit places, but I have also hosted and I have been hosted. I love the idea behind Couchsurfing--solo travelers can find local people who can guide them around. What I like most of visiting new places is understanding how locals live, what they do, where they go out, etc. I use a lot the hangout function on the mobile app when I travel, but also in Paris.

What I mostly look for on CouchSurfing (which is also what I can share) is an exchange (cultural and personal) with other people, chat and get to know each other in the little time we have, learn something (hopefully something unforgettable) from each other, talk about traveling (past and future) and have a great time.
